How we Clean

Because we are members of the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration we use only "Best practices" methods that are cost effective for you, our clients, and produce results that are lasting and rejuvinating for your Carpet, mats, and furniture.

We use 3 main methods of Cleaning

Steam (Hot Water Extraction) This method is recommended by most Carpet manufacturers to remove most dirt and stains (sometimes stains need extra chemical treatment) The process leaves the Carpet or Upholstery damp and depending on drying conditions, will naturally dry in a few hours.

At Debras, we use a Quality Truck Mount which produces it's own steam and vacuum, as well as portable Machines that Heat their own water, as we find this suits Wellington conditions best. We use this method also for upholstery Cleaning.

Encapsulating or Drycleaning In this method the chemical is sprayed onto the carpet, a slow speed pad allows the chemical to activate and after approximately 30-60 minutes the Carpet is vacuum cleaned. The Carpet is ready to use. This is a new system to New Zealand but is very popular overseas.
It leaves the carpet with a flurochemical microfilm for long lasting soil repellency.
It is suitable for empty houses or Rest Homes etc with long corridors or lounges without furniture because of large machinery.

Carpet Scrubbing This method of carpet cleaning is only used in large areas such as Resthomes, Restaurants, Hospitals, or Industrial premises. The Machine injects warm water into the carpet which is then scrubbed by a rotating brush and the solution and dirty water is extracted whilst the machine is moving over the area with a powerful vacuum.
